Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed will inaugurate the exhibition
A three-day long, first ever Digital Device and Innovation Expo-2019, will begin at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital’s Agargaon from October 14.
Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park authority, Information Communication Technology (ICT) Division, Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), and Idea Project will jointly organize the expo.
Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed as the chief guest will inaugurate the exhibition.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak revealed this in a press conference at the Janata Tower Software Technology Park in Karwan Bazar on Friday.
Student innovations will be given importance while local companies which produce technological products will have separate zones at the expo, said the minister.
"Digital Bangladesh is not a dream but a reality. We all are enjoying the fruits of Digital Bangladesh. We are also advancing towards the road of development," he added.
BCS President Md Shahid-Ul-Munir explained the program through a power point presentation.
Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum (NDC) and Director of Idea Project Syed Mojibul Haque were present at the briefing.
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 8pm. The entry will be free to all but they have to register online or do spot-registration.
